Trade Mirror does not collect and does not upload any of your trading or position data. That data lives only on your own computer, and it is stored encrypted. We have no server-side database and no technical means of reading it.
The following information is completely beyond our reach:
The app stores the data above in a local file on your computer, encrypted with AES-256. The encryption key is also kept only on your computer. Because we cannot obtain that key, we could not open the file even if you sent it to us.
The app has no cloud account and never logs in to any server of ours. On first run it asks you to create a local account (username and password) on this machine. That account only unlocks the app on this computer, is stored solely on your own computer, and the password is never kept in plain text (only an irreversible digest is stored). It requires no phone number, no email verification, and is not linked to any third-party platform account. We can neither obtain nor view that local account.
The only information we collect is the order details you voluntarily submit when you buy a licence:

About the "machine fingerprint": it is derived from a random installation identifier created the first time the app runs (the first 16 characters of a SHA-256 digest). It is unrelated to your hardware serial number, phone number, identity, location or IP address, and none of those can be reconstructed from it. Its only purpose is to bind an activation code to this one computer.
Beyond this policy, we do not collect any usage data by any other means (no analytics, no log uploads, no crash reporting).
Day-to-day use of the app requires no internet connection. There are exactly two places where it makes a network request:
1) Licence expiry check
To prevent unlimited use by winding the system clock backwards, the app sends an ordinary web request to a few public websites and reads only the server time from the response headers.
That request contains nothing about you — no account, no machine fingerprint, no activation code, no device identifier, and none of our own domains. Any ordinary visit to any website produces the same kind of request. If you are offline, the app falls back to your computer's clock; everything keeps working and nothing is locked.
2) Market data
Quotes, candlestick charts and intraday charts come from public financial data interfaces (US and Hong Kong quotes via public sources such as Yahoo Finance, with a number of fallback sources), requested directly by the app on your computer.
Those requests contain only the ticker symbols you asked for. They carry no personal information and do not pass through our servers. Market data is used solely to value the records you keep locally.
Apart from these two, the app communicates with no other server.
With regard to your order information, we undertake:
Payments are handled by a third-party online form platform and licensed payment providers.
We never touch or store your card number, payment password, SMS verification code or any other payment credential. All we can see is the order information described in section 4 (email, fingerprint, amount, order number). How those third-party platforms handle payment data is governed by their own privacy policies.
Order information is kept in the account of the third-party form platform (managed by us, visible only to us) and in our local issuance records.
Retention period: 12 months from the date your licence expires. After that we delete it. While your licence is still valid, this information is used to support you (for example, re-issuing after a machine change). You may ask us to delete it earlier at any time (see section 7).
You may contact us at the email address at the end of this policy at any time to exercise the following rights:
One thing to know in advance: once the order information is deleted, we can no longer offer machine-change re-issuance or after-sales verification, because there is no record to check. If you are merely unsure about one detail, you may ask for a correction rather than deletion.
The app is intended for adult individual users and not for minors. We do not recommend that anyone under 18 buy or use it.
We would also like to be honest about one thing: no software can guarantee absolute security. The single most important measure on your side is to look after your computer and use the app's Backup / Restore feature regularly. Because the data exists only with you, we cannot recover it if the device fails or the file is deleted by mistake.
The full text is available at any time in the app's About dialog, the sign-in window and the checkout page. This policy may be updated as the app changes or as the law requires; updates will be published in those same places with a new effective date. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will flag it more prominently.

Appendix: one claim you can verify yourself
Saying "we do not upload your data" is easy. You can check it: over a normal period of use, the app makes no network request other than fetching market data and opening the checkout page when you choose to. Disconnect from the internet and every feature except quote refresh keeps working.

該請求中只包含你要查詢的股票代碼，不包含任何個人信息，也不經過我們的服務器。行情數據僅用於配合你的本地記錄做估值計算。
除以上兩處外，軟件不會與其他任何服務器通信。
對於你的訂單信息，我們承諾：
你在下單時的付款由第三方在線表單平臺及持牌支付機構處理。
我們不接觸、不存儲你的銀行卡號、支付密碼、短信驗證碼等任何支付憑證信息。我們能看到的，僅是第四節所說明的訂單信息（郵箱、指紋、金額、訂單號）。這些第三方平臺對支付信息的處理，適用它們各自的隱私政策。
訂單信息保存在第三方在線表單平臺的賬號中（由我們管理，僅我們可見），以及我們本地的簽發記錄中。
保存期限：自你的授權到期之日起 12 個月。此後我們會刪除這些信息。在你授權仍有效期間，這些信息用於向你提供售後支持（如換機重簽）。你可以隨時要求我們提前刪除（見第七節）。
